Credit Recovery Options

Students may need to utilize a credit recovery option to recover credit for graduation or to remain on an a-g track for a college or university. Anytime School is offered twice a year (Fall and Spring) for both options. Please pick up an application in the office, or download, complete and print the form. Applications should be submitted to your counselor.

A-G grade recovery is designed to cover college prep curriculum via the use of online courses and resources provided by Shasta Union High School District (EdGenuity). Successful completion of a course with a grade of "C" or better will keep a student on track for completing the University of California and California State University A-G course requirements and remain eligible for admission to UC and CSU schools.

Not all A-G courses are available through SUHSD, if a student needs to make up courses not offered by Shasta Union High School District, please contact your counselor for other available options.

The A-G curriculum requirements are standards set by both the University of California (UC) and the California State University (CSU) systems for admission. It must be noted, that the A-G requirements are different than the SUHSD graduation requirements, please check school web site for graduation requirements. A student cannot receive a grade of "D" or "F" in any of the A-G classes.

Students may take up to two courses per semester concurrently at Shasta College. A three unit semester course is equivalent to ten high school credits. At the end of the semester, the student must request an official transcript and submit it to the Shasta High School registrar in order to receive credit on the high school transcript. Please see attached instructions and concurrent enrollment form.
