Shasta High School was founded in the late 1800's and is recognized as a California Distinguished School. With a student body over 1800 students, Shasta's campus is the largest in the Shasta Union High School district.
Shasta High School currently enrolls grades 9-12. The school currently has one newly renovated full-size athletic gym, and another currently under construction, a cafeteria, a commons area, and centrally based library. The school recently opened a new, 2 story classroom wing and is currently replacing the stadium grass with arificial turf.
