~ Personal Finance~

 


Course Description:
Students shall advance their knowledge in relative personal finance skills that they will encounter throughout their lifetime.  Students will also gain extensive training in financial theory (the why) and financial procedures (the how) using proper planning, analysis and a big picture approach. 



Objectives:

Students will receive thorough instruction in the following personal finance areas:  Career decisions, money management, financial security, credit management, resource/risk management and consumer rights & responsibilities. 
The goal for each student is to gain mastery and demonstrate preparedness for handling personal finance matters in the years to come.


 

Course Length: One (1) Semester

 

Prerequisites: Computer Applications (CIS 1) or instructor approval
