College
can be a rough place and tuition is getting higher
each year. With this program, students have the
opportunity to earn three college credits per
class while still going to high school.

Course
Description:
The course emphasizes proper technique and operation
of the computer and a number of its programs by
using critical thinking, problem solving, and
team work. This course is designed to help students
achieve an understanding in computer literacy
with components including computers and data processing,
hardware, software, history, computer ethics,
and telecommunications.
Objectives:
• Type by touch a minimum of 25 words per
minute on a 3-minute scale
• Produce business letters, personal business
letters, reports, tables, resumes, and cover letters
• Demonstrate proficiency in word processing,
database assignments, operating spreadsheets,
and using presentation software
• Demonstrate awareness and knowledge of
the computers affect on the world by becoming
knowledgeable in computer literacy
Prerequisites: None
College
Credits: For the course offered, three
college credits are given as long as the student
receives an A or a B in the class as well as a
minimum grade of a C on the final. In order to
obtain these college credits the student must
start the process by taking three college credits,
and then once the three credits are complete,
the credits from your high school courses will
be credited to your college transcripts.
